Finally we're done with our Christmas baking for gifts. We've delivered most of them, including chasing the mailman down the road in our barefeet in freezing temps. I'm sure that was quite the sight if the neighbors were watching. At least we were dressed.
I broke it to into 3 days this time. Day one was multiple batches of 2 different cookies and a smore brownie bar. Nana came and joined in that fun. Maggie was a trooper and did so much of the work. Those went with Jeremy for work people.
Day 2 was Christmas shaped sugar cookies completed with the kiddos decorating. Maggie did almost all the work. Thankfully my friend Laura was able to save the day when I needed a new frosting recipe using things I had on hand. These went to the mailman, PO, librarians, stranger walking down the road, a few Costco workers, etc.
Day 3 was mini chocolate chip pumpkin loaves. 2 went to two eldery couples from our old church and the other 3 will be given away at random on our trip to town tomorrow.
I love baking and giving. I tell myself every Christmas that I need to do more of this year round rather than just when it's typical!
