Maggie's 7th Birthday

7 years, it's hard to believe that oldest child turned 7 years old yesterday. I have no doubt where the phrase 'time flies' comes from. It was obviously a parent watching their child grow up.

For breakfast Daddy served her requested food: pancakes with powdered sugar and whipped cream and a side of bacon.

After "school" and violin practice the kiddos enjoyed a mid morning tea party on the back porch with myself and Nana.

Maggie helped make her cupcakes and after I iced them, she spent about 45 minutes decorating them with sprinkles. They had to be just so. : )

And right before eating she added a cherry to each one. She picked out strawberry cake with orange icing with sprinkles and a cherry. She even got to pick out the cupcake papers.

For dinner she chose fish (grilled salmon), sautéed chicken, corn, rice, and broccoli.

She chose to have her cupcakes and ice cream before opening her presents.

Which she might have later regretted since Daddy had to take a real estate call and it ended up taking quite a while. : )

Nana and Papa blessed her with a new bigger bike. Her "old" one was too small and the chain refused to stay on despite Daddy and Papa fixing it frequently.

Her gifts from us included a clip on light for her bed (she has the hardest time going to sleep at night, this way hopefully she can read until she gets sleepy), a pink camo hat (requested), a pair of binoculars (requested,$4.99 at Academy), an electric toothbrush (requested, bought by Emma), a consigned jacket, and a marshmallow hello kitty.

Happy 7th birthday my friend, daughter, and biggest helper!!!!
