Jeremy made an impromptu decision last Sunday to head up to Gatlinburg Tuesday and spend the night and come back Wednesday. We researched some fun things to do with the kiddos, booked a suite, and got ready to go. We made the 3 hour trip Tuesday morning, stopped for lunch at Zaxby's (my favorite), did some shopping at the outlets (which included buying Jeremy a new wedding ring at Zales;his flew off his finger into the lake while fishing a few months ago) and went to check into our hotel. Even with a suite they wouldn't let us stay so we changed our reservation to the apartment they offered. 2 bedroom (2 queen, 1 king, and pull out sofa), 2 bath, full kitchen, jetted tub, living room, eating area, (fake) fireplace, free breakfast all for $108 a night. WOW! We were more comfortable than we are at home. So.....we decided to stay another night. : ) We ate dinner at Johhny Rockets, the older girls and I rode the skylift (one of the workers let Emma ride for free) while the others went for ice cream. Then we all strolled around Gatlinburg until my feet were give out and it was bed time.

The next day we had breakfast at the hotel, bible studies on the hotel walkway(our room was at the end), and then loaded up for a day of fun. We took the kiddos to the Track and let them ride and drive go-carts and ride on the kiddy rides. They had a blast, as did we. Then we had lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings and headed back to the hotel for rest and naps. While the little kiddos napped Jeremy took the older 2 girls back to the outlets. He bought me the most beautiful watch. This is the only time that having a small wrist is a curse but with this watch a jeweler will be able to reduce it down to size for me;it requires removing 8 links to get it small enough. . : ) I get it back Wednesday and am so so excited. Love that precious thoughtful man of mine. Then we had Subway dinner in the room while myself and the littles made good use of the jetted tub. Then bedtime. The next morning we ate breakfast at the hotel, Bible studies again, and then headed home for Maggie's violin lesson. It was probably one of my favorite more relaxed vacations!
